Lands Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network Established

The Lands Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network has been formally established. The Office is responsible for the land held by the Network: for fixing and maintaining the boundaries of its twelve districts, for granting and administering leases of Network land, for keeping the Land Register, and for the surveys on which boundaries, parcels and leases depend.

With its establishment complete, the Office today launches its official website at lands.gov.vin. The site carries press releases and official statements, the boundaries and areas of the twelve districts, the classes and standard conditions of lease, guidance on searching the Land Register and obtaining extracts, the programme of boundary surveys and the Office's statistical releases.

At establishment the Office holds records of 6,420 parcels covering 48,600 hectares, 1,184 leases in force and 2,318 boundary markers, all transferred from member organisations during the transition period from 10 August to 5 September 2026. The publication of the district boundaries, the opening of lease applications and the opening of the Land Register are the subject of separate announcements published today.
